Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) and NBCC (India) Limited have signed two key MoUs aimed at accelerating Delhi redevelopment and asset monetisation, signaling a stronger push toward infrastructure-led growth.
In a regulatory filing, HUDCO confirmed that the agreements were signed on April 11, 2026. The first MoU focuses on redeveloping a prime 18,830 sq. mt. leasehold land parcel at August Kranti Bhawan in Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi. The scope includes feasibility studies, construction, project management, and monetisation of built-up space.
The second agreement targets asset monetisation across NBCC’s self-sustainable projects. Under this structure, HUDCO will provide financial support subject to government approvals while NBCC will handle execution, consultancy, and project management.
The partnership is structured to leverage the complementary strengths of both public sector companies. HUDCO’s role as a financing arm combined with NBCC’s execution expertise is expected to improve project viability and unlock value from underutilised assets.
Both MoUs are valid for two years, with annual performance reviews and an exit clause requiring one month’s notice.
This collaboration comes at a time when the government is actively promoting urban infrastructure upgrades and efficient capital utilisation. The deal could help accelerate redevelopment in key urban zones while supporting NBCC’s asset-light, self-sustaining project model.
For investors, the move highlights increased activity in the redevelopment space and reinforces the strategic importance of public sector collaboration in driving large-scale infrastructure projects.
