Asian Paints Q1 Results 2027 reflected a strong start to FY27, with the company reporting a 40% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,539 crore, driven by healthy demand, higher realizations, and improved operating efficiency. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,100 crore in the same quarter last year.
Consolidated net sales increased 18% YoY to Rs 10,521 crore, while profit before tax (PBT) climbed 39% to Rs 2,096 crore. PBDIT rose 33% to Rs 2,169 crore, and the PBDIT margin expanded to 20.6% from 18.2% a year ago, highlighting better cost control and an improved product mix. These Q1 results 2027 underline the company’s ability to improve profitability despite a challenging business environment.
Managing Director and CEO Amit Syngle said the company delivered a strong quarter through measured price increases, sourcing efficiencies, disciplined cost management, and innovation-led growth. The India decorative paints business reported 9% volume growth and 16.6% value growth, while the industrial coatings segment maintained mid-teen growth, supporting overall performance.
The international business also delivered robust results, with net sales rising 27% YoY to Rs 936 crore. On a constant-currency basis, sales grew 20%, led by strong demand in Egypt, the UAE, Oman, Nepal, and Bangladesh. International PBT nearly doubled, surging 95% YoY to Rs 74 crore.
Within the home décor portfolio, the kitchen business showed improvement with 10.1% sales growth and a sharply lower loss, while bath fittings remained under pressure. Looking ahead, Asian Paints said it will closely monitor raw material price volatility while continuing to invest in technology, innovation, and customer-focused offerings. The strong Q1 results 2027 and expanding margins indicate positive momentum for the company as it enters the new financial year.
