Shares of Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited (HFCL)<\/a> rose sharply on Thursday after its subsidiary, HTL Limited<\/a>, secured a major domestic contract worth around \u20b91,366 crore for supplying optical fiber cables (OFC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stock gained 6.98%<\/strong>, or \u20b95.25, to trade at \u20b980.42 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) by 10:39 am. HFCL opened at \u20b975.39, touched a high of \u20b981.40, and a low of \u20b975.25 during the session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HTL Limited announced that the order came from a Tier-1 customer<\/strong> and involves delivering optical fiber cables as per client specifications. The project is slated for completion by December 2026<\/strong>, with the total contract value inclusive of applicable GST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Market analysts said the deal strengthens HFCL\u2019s order book and improves revenue visibility over the medium term. The contract is also seen as a positive signal for the company, which benefits from the growing demand for optical fiber infrastructure in India\u2019s expanding telecom sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HFCL, a prominent player in India\u2019s telecom<\/a> and defense technology<\/strong> market, specializes in optical fiber cables, broadband equipment, and advanced networking solutions. The company is also active in R&D-driven innovation<\/strong>, developing IP MPLS routers, Wi-Fi systems, and next-generation connectivity products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond telecom, HFCL has ventured into defense manufacturing<\/strong>, supplying advanced systems such as thermal weapon sights and radar solutions to international markets, including Europe, Africa, and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
