Premier Energies Limited<\/a> has doubled its solar module production capacity to 11.1 gigawatts (GW) after launching a 5.6 GW facility in Seetharampur, Telangana. The new plant positions the company as one of India\u2019s largest solar manufacturers and strengthens the country\u2019s domestic solar ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Seetharampur plant, located within the TSIIC Industrial Park in Ranga Reddy District, spans 75 acres and has already begun trial production as of March 30, 2026. Its automated lines can produce four solar modules every 16 seconds, making it one of the fastest and most advanced solar module factories in India. The facility is expected to generate approximately 2,000 direct and indirect jobs, boosting the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plant manufactures G12R TOPCon solar modules with Zero Busbar (0BB) technology, combining high efficiency with durability. TOPCon cells capture more sunlight with less energy loss, while the 0BB design reduces optical losses. AI-powered fault detection systems monitor production in real time, maintaining quality and reducing waste, while automation improves efficiency and lowers operating costs. The modules cater to both domestic and international markets, including utility-scale solar farms, commercial projects, and rooftop installations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before this expansion, Premier Energies<\/a>\u2019 module capacity ranged between 5.1 GW and 5.5 GW. The company also operates a 3.6 GW solar cell facility and is building a 7 GW TOPCon cell plant in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, expected to reach full capacity by September 2026. These developments move Premier Energies toward a fully integrated supply chain, from ingots and wafers to finished modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is running a \u20b912,500 crore capital expenditure program under \u201cMission 2028,\u201d aiming for vertical integration and expansion into battery storage, inverters, aluminium frames, and transformers.
