Reliance Industries Limited<\/a> has entered into a binding long-term agreement with Samsung C&T Corporation for the supply of green ammonia, marking a significant step in its clean energy ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Supply and Purchase Agreement (SPA), valued at over $3 billion, will span 15 years starting from the second half of FY2029. The company described it as one of the largest global long-term offtake deals for green ammonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement positions India as a potential exporter of green fuels, supported by a fully integrated domestic value chain. It also aligns with the government\u2019s push under the National Green Hydrogen Mission to boost clean energy production and reduce carbon emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reliance is building a comprehensive new energy platform that includes renewable power, energy storage, green hydrogen, and downstream chemicals. A key focus is on local manufacturing of critical technologies such as solar modules, battery storage systems, and electrolysers, aimed at strengthening India\u2019s industrial capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal with Samsung C&T<\/a> is the first in a series of planned long-term partnerships to scale up Reliance\u2019s green energy ecosystem. The company expects such agreements to support the development of its gigafactories and enhance its position in global clean fuel markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
