This strong growth helped TVS overtake Yamaha, which sold around 5 million units during the year and saw only 0.8% growth compared with the previous year.

With this achievement, TVS has strengthened India’s position in the global motorcycle industry. The top two spots remain occupied by Honda Motor Company and Hero MotoCorp.
