Infosys<\/a> shares came under pressure on Friday, July 24, after the IT services major reported its Q1 results 2027 and lowered the upper end of its full-year revenue growth guidance. The stock was last seen trading around 1.5% lower at \u20b91,032 on the NSE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infosys reported a 12.2% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to \u20b97,769 crore for Q1 FY27, while revenue increased 14% to \u20b948,211 crore. In constant currency terms, dollar revenue rose 2.4% year-on-year and 1% sequentially to $5,082 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the company lowered its FY27 revenue growth guidance to 1.5%-3%, with organic growth expected at -0.2% to 1.3%. Analysts said the guidance cut was largely expected, but its scale was weaker than consensus estimates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JPMorgan said the quarter missed revenue expectations, with growth affected by subdued demand, AI-led pricing deflation and contract-related challenges, including issues involving Daimler and the EURS business. Citi also flagged weak organic growth despite healthy margins and total contract value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Infosys share price also reacted to the leadership transition. The company named veteran Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO-designate, effective April 1, 2027, when Salil Parekh completes his second term. Dash has spent 31 years at Infosys and currently heads the EURS vertical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI services contributed 8.2% of Q1 revenue, while more than 80,000 employees are using AI coding tools. Analysts believe the new leadership could help Infosys navigate AI disruption, although near-term growth is expected to remain challenging.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
