The company announced it will acquire 100% stake in Bosch Chassis Systems India Private Limited <\/a>(RBIC) from its global parent entities in a deal valued at up to \u20b99,068.68 crore. The transaction will be funded through a mix of cash and a preferential equity issue, indicating strong internal liquidity and long-term commitment to the Indian market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RBIC, a leading player in automotive safety and braking systems, brings strong financials to the table. For FY25, the company reported a turnover of \u20b93,935.9 crore and a profit after tax of \u20b9545.66 crore, backed by a net worth of \u20b91,410 crore. The business has also maintained a high double-digit CAGR in recent years, underlining its growth trajectory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RBIC\u2019s portfolio covering ABS, ESP, and braking systems is \u201cpowertrain agnostic,\u201d meaning it remains relevant across both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs). A key data point supporting this move is the rising adoption of safety technologies in India. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) penetration has already reached nearly 85% in passenger vehicles, reflecting strong demand for advanced safety systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The acquisition also opens up new growth avenues in next-generation technologies such as brake-by-wire systems, regenerative braking for EVs, and vehicle motion management (VMM), which integrates braking and steering through software. These capabilities are expected to play a critical role in the evolution of software-defined vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RBIC operates three major facilities, including a large manufacturing plant in Chakan, and employs around 2,000 people.
